Mark ImageMeet Mark Keilman, the newest member of the Family Features Team! We are excited to have Mark join the company in the role of New Business Acquisitions. Learn more about Mark, his background and new position below. 

1. What is your educational background and what university did you graduate from?
My educational background is in business and I graduated from the University of Missouri. M-I-Z!!

2. What does a typical day look like in your new role at Family Features?
A typical day usually includes reviewing brands and agencies that I feel would be a good fit for what Family Features can offer. Being on the new business side, it is a challenge to get in front of the correct people but I enjoy the challenge.

3. Do you have any previous experience in this field? How does it differ from your previous sales-related roles?
I have 6+ years in the world of online marketing, advertising and online strategy. Having this experience really allows me to dive into what Family Features offers to our clients and the importance of brand awareness.

4. What is your favorite part about working for Family Features?
I enjoy the small company feel and the creative opportunity to be a master of my craft. I also really feel the support from my peers daily.

5. What excites or challenges you about your new position in Business Development?
What excites me about my position is that I have the freedom to develop my own strategy to be as successful as I can be. The challenging part of my role is overcoming the objectives that a brand or agency may have. We are not the only players in this industry, and it is my goal to showcase Family Features and all we have to offer to make sure our clients projects are as successful as can be.

6. When you’re not working, what do you like to do for fun? Any hobbies?
I play in several recreational sports leagues. I am also a competitive pickleball player. I enjoy riding my bike and being outside as much as possible. I am a huge animal lover (I have 2 dogs and 2 cats) and have fostered several animals through KC Pet Project.

7. Do you have any exciting goals or plans for the new year?
My goal with Family Features is to develop a great system that allows us to showcase our services as much as possible - I truly believe we are the leaders in this industry. My personal goal is to learn a new language.
